Product Designer - UI/UX

Bakkal Corporation, an ethnic grocery delivery startup based in California, is seeking a Product Designer. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing innovative and engaging digital experiences that meet the needs and expectations of Bakkal's diverse customer base. Your work will have a significant impact on the success of the business as you help shape and define Bakkal's interface and user experience.

• Work with our Product Manager and Senior UX Designer to conduct discovery and user research, map out our use cases, user personas, and various customer journeys
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute design strategies that align with the company's vision and goals.
• Conduct user research and develop personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to inform design decisions and solutions.
• Create high-quality, interactive, and visually appealing designs for responsive web and mobile platforms.
• Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across all Bakkal products.
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and incorporate feedback to refine designs.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements related to UI/UX design.
• Advocate for the user, ensuring their needs and expectations are met through every step of the design process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile products.
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma.
• Strong understanding of design principles and best practices for creating engaging user interfaces and experiences.
• Experience with user research and knowledge of various research methods and tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
