What you’ll be doing
Yooshin Engineering Corporation, a South Korean infrastructure engineering consultancy, is seeking Sustainability and Social Safeguard Specialists for infrastructure project activities in Kyrgyz-Kyshtak, Kyrgyzstan. The role supports responsible planning and implementation across transport, water, environmental, and related civil infrastructure projects.
The specialists will integrate environmental and social considerations into project decisions, safeguard community interests, and promote compliance with applicable laws, lender requirements, and international standards.

- Conduct environmental and social screening, impact assessments, due diligence, and safeguard monitoring.
- Prepare and review environmental and social management plans, monitoring reports, corrective action plans, and safeguard documentation.
- Assess land acquisition, resettlement, livelihood restoration, labor, community health and safety, and stakeholder-related risks.
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder consultations, grievance-management processes, and disclosure activities.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, government agencies, and project stakeholders to incorporate mitigation measures into design and construction activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and verify implementation of safeguard measures.
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of environmental and social safeguards for roads, bridges, water, transport, and other civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience with environmental and social impact assessments, management plans, safeguard monitoring, and compliance reporting.
- Understanding of land acquisition, involuntary resettlement, livelihood restoration, labor standards, community health and safety, and grievance mechanisms.
- Ability to conduct respectful stakeholder engagement and consultations, including with vulnerable or affected groups.
- Familiarity with national environmental regulations and international development-finance safeguard frameworks.
- Technical report writing, field inspections, risk assessment, documentation, and corrective-action tracking.
- Coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, public authorities, and local communities.
- Professional judgment, cultural awareness, analytical ability, and willingness to work at project sites in Kyrgyzstan.
